Chocolate cake with icing

We all love chocolate cake, especially with hazelnuts and a beautiful icing! Here is our soft cake recipe presented step by step and in pictures. 


Chocolate cake with icing

24 cm Ø baking paper disc for the bottom of the mold
piping bag
butter for the mold
24 cm Ø springform pan
Dough:
250 g softened butter
200 g sugar
4 eggs
200 g of melted dark chocolate
50 g of ground hazelnuts or almonds
200 g flour
1 tsp baking powder
Icing:
50 g butter
200 g dark chocolate in pieces
50 g icing sugar
1 dl whipped whole cream, to garnish

Prepare all the ingredients. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C (hot air / hot air: approx. 160 ° C). Dough: work the butter into an ointment.
Add the sugar and eggs, stir until the mixture turns white. Incorporate the chocolate. Combine the hazelnuts, flour and baking powder, incorporate.
Pour the dough into the prepared mold, smooth. Bake 35-40 min in the lower part of a preheated oven. Let cool.
Icing: melt the butter, add the chocolate and let it melt slowly. Add the icing sugar while sifting, mix to obtain a very smooth icing.
Slide the cake onto a rack and place a plate under the rack. Spread the icing generously over the cake with a spatula. Let dry.
Pour the cream into a pastry bag and decorate the cake.
