Perfect Vegetable Rice

 Rice is one of the most popular foods in the world, but do you cook it perfectly every time? Sometimes it is difficult. If you don't put in enough water, your rice will be dry, and if you put in too much, it will become sticky. A few milliliters can make a huge difference. But don't worry! We'll show you how to make perfect, fluffy rice with vegetables every time.

 

Perfect Vegetable Rice

 

 Ingredients
 for 4 people
250 g of rice (flavored or not)
1 medium zucchini
1 large carrot (or 2 small)
1 onion
1/2 red or yellow pepper
70 g canned peas
olive oil
salt


PREPARATION
1Wash the vegetables (except the onion), remove the seeds from the peppers and cut them into small cubes. Cook them separately (carrots on one side and pepper and zucchini on the other) in a saucepan with a glass of water and cover. Allow about 15 minutes for the carrots and 10 minutes for the others (after boiling).
2 Meanwhile, cook the rice as normal. Then rinse it to prevent it from sticking and let it drain well.
Drain the vegetables (including the peas) well. Put 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a non-stick Dutch oven and brown the onion, peeled and minced.
4As soon as the onion is transparent (stir occasionally so as not to stick), add the vegetables and brown them for about 5 minutes.
To finish
Add the rice and mix well, adding a drizzle of olive oil and salt.
