The Best Ultra Fast Buns Recipe


 INGREDIENTS
1 cup + 2 tbsp. tablespoons of lukewarm water
1/3 cup olive oil
2 tbsp. quick dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 cups flour


INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat the oven to 400 F.
In the bowl of the stand mixer (or just in a bowl), pour the water, oil, baking powder and sugar. Mix well.

Add 2 cups of flour, salt and egg and mix for a few minutes with the hook (or knead vigorously with your hands). Then add the remaining flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until well incorporated.

Shape the dough into 12 balls. Place them side by side in a greased 9 x 13 (23 x 33 cm) rectangular pan. Let stand 10 minutes. Bake until tops of buns are golden brown, about 15 minutes.
Best when tasted on the spot! Can be frozen.
